Epidemiology
The Epidemiology program provides health data, information, and analytical services to the community in order to foster decision-making that results in healthier lives. This program collects, assembles, and analyzes health status and health surveillance data in Nashville. It also publishes reports on the health status of Davidson County residents based on various data sources that include birth and death certificates, notifiable disease data, and youth and adult health risk behavior surveys. In addition, the Epidemiology program provides technical and evaluative support for programs throughout the department.
