Rape Prevention and Education Program
The Rape Prevention and Education Program (RPE) is supported by a grant from the Tennessee Department of Health. The purpose of this program is to strengthen sexual violence prevention efforts addressing the “Healthy People 2010” focus areas of injury and violence prevention. It aims to increase awareness of sexual violence issues and decrease sexual assault incidents in the community.
Program Components:
- Distribution of posters and community resources
- Providing education sessions examining the rape culture, sorting out the truths and myths about sexual violence, identifying what constitutes rape and sexual violence and their impact on individuals and society
